MANIFESTO:
December 10 – ❤️ of Humanity Day
We face many global challenges, and we must address them together, on a global scale.
We need to overcome the tendency to compete in order to have more, to be more, to dominate more. These dynamics divide us and fuel violence; they justify wars, destroy ecosystems, and accelerate climate change, which ultimately affects everyone, including those who believe they own the world.
We want to highlight the value of cooperation among people and with nature. We want to remember that we share one Humanity and one common responsibility toward the Planet that is our home.
Because every human being has a ❤️, we propose a collective action in which everyone can participate, beyond cultures, languages, or borders: a globally distributed performance.
Each person creates a heart out of cardboard or cardstock, with a phrase, a drawing, or an image related to peace, solidarity, or life. Then, together with others, they move these hearts to the rhythm of the song "NO MORE WARS, WE WANT PEACE," evoking the heartbeat of the ❤️ of Humanity.
We envision millions of individual and community ❤️s beating across the world and being shared on social media from now until December 10, the anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, this year and every year. A celebration accompanied by every kind of artistic expression: music, dance, poetry, painting, photography, theatre, and collective creativity in communities, schools, universities, social organizations, cultural institutions, towns, and cities.
We need to awaken the ❤️of Humanity. We have a mind to think, a heart to feel, and a body to live. But the mind of Humanity cannot continue to be held hostage by those who believe they own the world.
The great decisions of our time must be made with both mind and ❤️.
Because only a Humanity that thinks and feels at the same time can build a future of peace, justice, and shared life.
